Terroir to Terroir: A Remhoogte Wine Dinner with Chef Takeshi Nishikawa

  • Rice Market 1608 14th Street Northwest Washington, District of Columbia, 20009 United States (map)

Great food and great wine begin the same way, with a place and the people who chose it. For one night, the slopes of Simonsberg in Stellenbosch meet the Mid-Atlantic in autumn.

Chef Takeshi Nishikawa, founder of Snow Crane, cooks a six-course dinner from the late Mid-Atlantic harvest, shaped by Japanese technique and paired with the wines of Remhoogte Estate. Winemaker Chris Boustred joins us from South Africa to pour and share the story of his family’s estate, farmed since 1812.
